UIL MARCHING CONTEST STRAIGHT 1'S

Words can not express the excitement and pride that our band and myself feel right now. This band has worked hard since the first week of August and hasn't stopped since. Many of our upper classmen have waited for this day and have dedicated their time, effort and sacrifice to reach this goal. To our parents, a BIG thank you for all of your time and effort spent to insure your child's success in this program. Thank you to the administration, teachers and staff for your support in our endeavors. We hope to bring pride and honor to our families, community and school district and look forward to representing West Hardin with pride in the days to come. GO GOLDEN PRIDE!

GULF COAST CLASSIC DRUMLINE COMPETITION

Congratulations to our Golden Pride Drumline! Our group competed at the Lamar University Drumline competition and came away with several awards in their classification for the third year in a row.

BAND PARENTS NEEDED!!!!

Calling all band parents. We are in need of parents to help run the band concession stand during home games. The band concession stand is a huge source of income for our band and each dollar earned goes back to help our band students. If you are interested in helping / joining our booster organization please get in contact with myself or one of our booster officers.

"UPDATE 2016" PNG Invitational Marching Festival and UIL Marching

Greetings!

I would first like to say how proud I am of our band this year. We are making great strides in our marching and playing. Our band has spent many hours in preparation for this marching season and we are off to an outstanding start! If you have not had a chance to see your student march or perform yet I encourage to come see them!

On October 1, 2016 our Golden Pride Band will be performing at the P.N.G. Invitational Marching Festival in Groves, Texas. This contest allows our group to experience a "contest type" setting in preparation for our U.I.L. contest on October 15. These two contests help our band to see our improvement from year to year as well as what we need to improve upon. With 47 band members each person plays a vital roll to the success of our group, when one position is empty it makes it harder for the other band members around that position to be successful. As we prepare for these contests I am very eager to see our students perform. Please make plans to attend these competitions and come witness the pride of West Hardin Band.
